You saved the leftover apple slices from the Literally Delicious Turkey Sandwich with mandarin oranges to keep them from getting too brown.
Cut up the apples slices into small bit size or smaller pieces. Add them to your oatmeal along with the mandarin oranges. If you don't like peels, don't save them and don't add them. I love peels! Enjoy!
An abundance of food with my quilts, and sometimes a quick and easy recipe!
Photos of breakfast, lunch, and dinner on my quilts. Including photos from my container garden. Sometimes, I will post a quick and easy recipe. This is my "just for fun" BLOG ! I see so many things that inspire my quilting!

Leftover Apple Slices and Peels for Breakfast
Literally "Delicious" Turkey Sandwich!
Another all photo recipe!
Ready to eat - Enjoy!
Ready to eat - Enjoy!
Save the leftover apple slices for tomorrow morning's recipe. Don't save the peels if you don't like peels. I love peels. We had to take them off for the sandwich and you have to have them off for apple pie and apple crisp.
Notes: - Of course you do not need a fancy apple slicer and corer. I used it, because I just bought one at a Pampered Chef Party*!
- You could substitute the bread - any kind. I like the rye best, because it is firmer and tastes great with the apple slices.
- You can substitute the cheese with a cheddar cheese or your favorite one, but I like muenster cheese best.
- Apples can be saved with lemon or lime juice or orange juice or fresh oranges. I used the mandarin oranges, because I have them.
- I live out in the country 11 miles from a grocery store, so I substitute quite often.
If you order an apple slicer or another item because you saw it here, please tell Lisa you heard about it thru' Marcia Wachuta! Thanks!
Enjoy your Literally Delicious Turkey Sandwich!

The Colors in My Kitchen
I only have two dinner plates, but that's ok it's just the two of us. I have some good old correlle dishes for everyday.
Nice big serving plate. Paid one dollar for it.
The dessert plate is my favorite find. I love placing a couple cookies on it!
One soup bowl and small plate. I love the colorful design.
All of the dishes are thrift store finds, except the Corningware casserole. I purchased the casserole dish in 1979 and still use a quite often. It is the perfect size for green bean casserole.
Just a cute little soup mug.
A friend painted on an old pitcher and old glasses for me a couple years ago. Love how she made it into a quilt.
The table topper quilt was created using "up cycled" denim from a beaded denim shirt.
Enjoy your day!
Marcia
