Everything looks like a quilt to me!
That is why I started this blog.
I see quilts and quilt ideas everywhere.
Everyone is trying to eat healthy foods.
Me too.
I decided it would be fun to arrange and display the food on my plate.
Then I take photos of the food displayed on my plate.
This is one of my favorite meals - Quilter's Eggs and Fried Rice.
Look at all the colors of my Chunky Chicken Salad.
Most of my lunches look like a quilt to me.
I even see quilt ideas when feet form a four patch design on dyed fabric!
My toes are the blue toes - bottom left! We took this photo at a quilt retreat. I uploaded them and ordered them as greeting cards. They are available for purchase on my website. Click here.
I am giving away three prizes today! That's three winners! Three packs of Fabric and Toes Note Cards. One pack for each winner.
Leave a comment and tell me where you see quilts to enter the giveaway. I will ship internationally too!
Please make sure you are a "reply blogger" or leave me your email with your comment.

ReplyDeleteI love these cards. Your food always looks so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI see quilts ever where but we most recently moved into a new building (old building new for us) and left over was what others called hideous orange charges with a triangle 4 point type square in a repeating design. I claimed the chairs and put them in my new office.

I tend to see quilts in the crop fields around our new house.

ReplyDeleteJust realized I didn't answer your question. I see quilts in the outdoors - snow, trees, lakes and the sky.
DeleteA couple of years back my parents gave me a commemmorative book from my elementary school, in which was a picture from the whole school at that time. I really saw a quilt in that one. Haven't done it yet, but it is on my want to make it list. Probably going to use an overlapping seashell pattern for it. thanks for the giveaway.

I see quilts everywhere especially in floor tiles. I always want to recreate a floor! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI see quilts in the wheatlands where I live. It's a countryside of rolling hills, broken by deep washes or coulees (sashing) and framed by a huge, blue sky (borders). Thanks for the delightful blog. Let's be friends. Oh, and I LOVE Wisconsin. Been there twice (Wausau and Forest County). You're so lucky to live there.
ReplyDeleteI see quilts everywhere too. I actually designed a quilt recently that was inspired by the light in the dentist's office. I was laying there looking at it long enough that I guess it got imprinted on my brain a little. Thank you so much for the giveaway. It may sound strange but I love feet especially when they have pretty toes. I used to be a pedicurist. :)

ReplyDeleteI love your question and your photos! Great answers so far - since there are no wrong ones!! I always see color palettes when I'm making food, quilting designs when I'm walking {snow tire prints!} and quilts when I'm still. Quilt inspiration is in a bird on a hydro wire, a tree blowing in the wind, children playing in a playground, mushrooms on a pathway, lines on the road, buildings touching - you get the idea! Love the name of your blog:) Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteI see quilt designs in tiled floors - especially in older buildings.
ReplyDeleteI saw a quilt today in the little tiny gravel at the lqs. It was the strangest thing...I was getting in the car and looked down and thought, wow, that'd make an awesome quilt. I wonder how I'd piece that! So, um, I see quilts in weird, everyday things!

Where do I see quilt designs? of course I get inspired by other quilts, magazines etc. I love to play with EQ7 and often I copy over a design I've seen elsewhere and then start chaning the colors, the layout, the blocks etc and come up with something different.
In the garden!
