Parsley's Making Progress and More...

When the snow is swirling around outside, I am very thankful to have my little indoor garden. I planted parsley and basil together in large jar.
In the bottle next to the parsley I planted some more parsley, but it hasn't sprouted yet -- I think it was too wet in the bottle.  I forgot about it being moist.  When I plant the rest of my herbs this weekend I will dump it and start over.
My aloe plants seem to thrive in the winter and the summer!

That's the first Amaryllis that is leaning over on the jar.  It's bloom was beautiful.
Remember the one that didn't bloom.
Someone left a comment and told me it might be too moist.  Sure enough, I dumped it out and stuck it in a bucket with another plant that I was quickly re potting.
Look at it now!
It is not going to bloom, but it is looking pretty healthy now!

I really don't have a green thumb, but I sure do like having the green plants around me in the winter.
Enjoy your day!
Marcia

  2. And spring is coming. Perhaps when (if) we move I'll work on getting us some indoor green. You'll have to help me though. My thumb is black!

  3. What luck that you can grow indoors when the snow lies thick doors. With me is Ochs snow. But I have taken cuttings of my plants. I always fail to hibernate my amaryllises. My sister does it without problems. but not me. Hope it goes better for you. I wish you a wonderful weekend! Zinnia
